⌐◨-◨ OVER VIEW

Overview: Nouns Mirai Japan is an initiative by our pNounsDAO to participate in the WebX Web3 Conference Asia, held at the Tokyo International Forum on July 25th and 26th. We will have a booth to share with event attendees the vision of a new future where cryptocurrencies and Nouns are widely integrated into society.

⌐◨-◨ TL;DR

  • Exhibiting a booth at the Web3 Conference ”WebX”
  • Introducing Nouns as a pioneering and successful “true DAO” to participating companies and attendees
  • Depicting a future society with widespread adoption of Nouns, set in Japan, through art and the metaverse
  • Improving the industry recognition of NounsDAO and Nouns communities.

⌐◨-◨ MAIN CONCEPT

Nouns 未来(mirai= future) Japan

〜In the near future, a world where Nouns and Noggles blend into Japan.
A place to unveil such a future ahead of time〜

NounsDAO is built on the principles of using web3 technology to create a new organization called DAO and making the world more enjoyable through cute character art.

As a result of DAO’s activities, Nouns are integrating into the lives of people around the world, and a beloved Mirai is being born. In Japan, this is just the beginning.

In contemporary Japan, the culture of derivative works has already penetrated, but copyright restricts the expansion of their use. The CC0 proposed by NounsDAO, which allows for free use of designs, is likely to be accepted in Japan and expand the possibilities of creative culture.

Japan + Nouns.

By participating in this conference to expand Japan’s Web3 circle, we will create an opportunity to widen the reach of Nouns in Japan.

BACK GROUND

⌐◨-◨ Challenges in Web3

There are common challenges among those involved in Web3. One of the main issues is that there are still many people in the world who are unaware of Web3 or have never encountered it.

In the world of Web2, Facebook has over 3 billion users worldwide, YouTube and WhatsApp have more than 2 billion users, and WeChat and TikTok have over 1 billion users each.

On the other hand, the number of cryptocurrency and Web3 users worldwide is about 320 million, which is only about 4.2% of the global population.

In Japan, it is said that 11% of the population own crypto assets, and there are 20,000 NFT buyers, which is less than 0.02%. This suggests that Web3 has not yet penetrated the mainstream. Naturally, even fewer people are aware of Nouns.

However, we imagine that the growth of the blockchain field and the fact that Nouns and Noggles are IP using CC0 will gradually lead to their widespread adoption, eventually becoming commonplace in society. We believe that participating in the Web3 conference as a timeline to achieve this goal has significant meaning.

⌐◨-◨ What is WebX?

Web X is a global conference on Web3, held at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan from July 25th to July 26th, 2023.

⌐◨-◨ PROJECT DETAILS : Nouns Mirai Japan Booth

⌐◨-◨ TL;DR

At the WebX conference booth, we will introduce visitors to a future where Nouns and Japan are fused together, using a small 3m x 3m x 2.7m space with the spirit of Japanese hospitality, a tea room (exhibition), art (live painting), and a metaverse (technology).

⌐◨-◨ CONCEPT OF BOOTH

  • We anticipate that in the near future (a few years from now), Nouns characters and Noggles will naturally blend into Japanese culture. This place offers visitors a glimpse of that future.

  • We will set up a Japanese-style room in the business conference space, which may seem out of place, and provide an experience where guests can remove their shoes and sit on tatami mats.

  • In the tatami tea room, we will lend Noggle-shaped VR glasses. We will guide each guest’s smartphone to the Japanese-style space “Co-Mati” in the metaverse Spatial, where Nouns Yoko-cho will be set up. Here, we will conduct beginner-friendly Nouns lecture videos and real-time events.

  • An artist will perform live painting inside the booth, and participants will create the future of Nouns together, bringing it to life in a real space.

⌐◨-◨ Nouns-inviting Mirai Trick #1 : To the “Mirai = Future” through “Noren” and “Tea Room”

The anticipation beyond the Japanese hospitality spirit of “tea room” and “noren”

The Japanese spirit of hospitality is based on the modest hospitality of “tea ceremony.” Noren, hung at the storefronts in Japan, also serve not only as a signboard but also as a representation of the store’s credibility and pride. This unique Japanese interior design is expressed in a small 3m x 3m space.

Visitors pass through the noren and are invited into a small yet secluded Japanese space with tatami mats. In this small space, we collaborate with craftsmen who create small tea rooms that can be incorporated into modern life and noren workshops to create an interior design that maximizes the limited space.

This “tea room” will be used as a “portal” connecting to Nouns’ Mirai = “Future.”

For the exhibition, a custom-made mini tea room will be created,
tailored to fit the space as described above.

The tea room is 1.8m x 1.8m and can be closed or opened, allowing for versatile use depending on the event’s content.

⌐◨-◨ Nouns-inviting Mirai Trick #2: “VR Noggels”

Instead of preparing tea in the tea room, guests will receive Noggles-shaped VR glasses.

pNounsNoggles is a Noggles being developed under proposal 228. It is scheduled to be revealed at the Noggles Jack Tokyo event during the Design Festa in Tokyo on May 20th. For this project, we will create original pNouns VR glasses by combining Nnear VR glass with the Noggles design. We will prepare these Noggles-shaped VR glasses as a form of hospitality, allowing guests to experience the Nouns metaverse space with an enhanced sense of presence.

⌐◨-◨ Nouns-inviting Mirai Trick #3 events at Nouns Alley in the metaverse

Let’s get excited at Nouns Alley!

In Japan, there are many small shopping streets called “yokocho.” It would be exciting if there were a real Nouns Alley. In a few years, we may see Nouns everywhere in real alleys, but before that, we will start by creating a metaverse space (Spatial.io).

During the WebX Conference, we will open the metaverse Nouns yoko-cho and plan simultaneous real-time events such as videos for beginners’ classes at the temple school for those who don’t know about Nouns, shops, live performances, dance performances, and poetry readings.

For this event, we are thinking of entertaining plans for people visiting Nouns Alley, with the cooperation of artists, dancers, YouTubers, and musicians from various genres. Of course, visitors and non-visitors alike can participate in the metaverse, and this alley will surely be bustling on the day of the event.

⌐◨-◨ Contents in the Metaverse

Nouns Tera-koya

  • Tera-koya was a place in the Edo period where children were taught for free. The mechanism, background, and activities of Nouns are still not well-known in Japan. In collaboration with eguegu, a Noun605 holder who creates cryptocurrency explanation videos on YouTube and NounsDAO explanation videos, a lecture video explaining the Nouns mechanism will be created in a short time. Visitors can understand the overview of the Nouns mechanism and community by attending the lecture in the Metaverse.

Nouns Yokocho live event

  • We will plan a live performance event featuring musicians, poets, dancers, and others from pNouns, NounsDAOJapan, and Spatial members. Various events can be held in Spacial, just like real events.

Nouns Yokocho art and coloring exhibit

  • Prior to the event, an art competition will be held. The works will be displayed in the gallery space in the Metaverse.

⌐◨-◨ Nouns-inviting Mirai Trick #4: LIVE painting of concept art

At the booth, a live painting event will be held on the day of the conference. The 2.7m x 3.0m monochrome illustration on the wall will be colored by painter Makoto Tagawa. (General visitors are also welcome to participate.) What kind of colorful artwork (future) will it become? It will be a fun project to look forward to until the day of the event.
