Nounsinsg would like to keep this positivity going with the activation of this Nounish Green Initiative Pod. Where Nounsinsg will be focusing on costal cleanup covering major beach in Singapore; East Coast, West Coast, Changi Beach & Pasir Ris Beach.
Deliverables:
For this pilot green initiatives pod, Nounsinsg will organize and execute 4 beach cleanup activation in Singapore covering the main costal line. Nounsinsg would also reach out to local grassroots community that share the same value, supporting them as well as co-host such cleanup activation together in turn onboarding them as upcoming/potential green builder into the DAO.
Photos will be taken during each clean up activation, media will also be made available for all to use/posted on Nounsinsg’s socials.

Execution: Nounsinsg will be in charge of the organizing & operation as well as Nounish merch production/design. Nounsinsg believe that such initiatives/activations should be replicated and could seed a another series of positive effect globally. NOUNISH! ⌐◨-◨
Upon each clean up completion, media will be updated and share with everyone.
Once again appreciate the support, and we’re glad to continue contributing to Nouns ⌐◨-◨
This is such a great initiative towards the environment, glad the Nouns community are now actively involved in such activates. Looking forward for the updates : )
Also will be in discussion with grass root community “Small Change Singapore” to onboard them into this green initiative pod movement. Can’t wait to share more updates.
Once again thank you NSFW & Nouns community for the support.
Through our discussion with Small Change Singapore, we have also onboarded Singapore Freediving Academy and will be organizing a triple way nounish offshore beach/freediving cleanups. Tentatively we are looking at 18/19th Feb based on tide condition in order to clear the most trash.
Prior to this triple way cleanup activation, Nounsinsg will also be organizing a cleanup at EAST COAST PARK during mid Dec - 17th Dec. All media from cleanup activation will be uploaded upon completion.
Nounsinsg kick started 2023 by having a nounish green initiative over the weekend (7th Jan’23), despite unable to get our green initiative merch in time as there is volunteer who flew into Singapore to participate in this movement - hella nounish!
As we have also onboarded local grass root community, following this our next activations will be a collaborative effort with Small Change Singapore as well as Singapore Freediving Academy as mention in the previous update
Would like to update my fellow nounish fam, Nounsinsg have completed yet another beach clean up last Sunday with local grassroots community Small Change Singapore, onboarding them & sharing with their community what Nouns is via this green initiative.
We have also received our Green initiative merch , where we utilized cc0 artist Brandon Mighty - The Nouning as the featured design that we thought it represented the core value of Nounish green initiative pod well.
Another round of beach clean up was completed last Sunday along with Small Change Singapore, although the weather wasn’t ideal resulting in a few no-show, even with a smaller group we managed to cleared a total of 55KG of trash!
For the remaining beach clean up session we are planning to push forth a offshore beach cleanup. Previously was looking to schedule this around 18/19th Feb but there was a clash in time-table thus this plan was put on-hold.
Currently we are revisiting this plan and ironing out details; will be doing a few recce round in May to determine the beach condition/trash quantity. Tentatively we are looking to commence the clean up early-mid June’2023
After recce, the beach condition / trash quantity isn’t at the most ideal state + with recent bad weather considering safety, it is recommended to not conduct a offshore beach cleanup; thus we will be running our beach clean up along costal line at Changi beach on 18th Jun 2023 instead.
Will be sharing post beach clean up media and update here
Due to tide condition, our beach clean up will be scheduled on 24 or 25th Jun 2023 instead. The aim is to target low tides period where the intertidal sections are exposed, allowing us to clear way more trash / having a more effective clean up session.
Last round of Nounish beach clean up was completed last Saturday; we’ve managed to clear a total of 51KGs of trash along with multiple bulky items.
Grateful for the support from NSFW for funding this green initiative; it not only allow Nounsinsg to spread nounish-ness in a positive and meaningful front but also to onboard local grassroot non-profit community like Small Changes providing them with an opportunity to learn about Nouns.
Let us continue to foster the proliferation of Nouns, maintaining its unique and enjoyable nature, by supporting creative and meaningful activations; memeing the meme. To become a symbol that support public goods. Everything powered by ⌐◨-◨
